Morocco
Morocco, a land of majestic contrasts, runs the whole gamut: imperial cities, lively bazaars, Agadir's famous beaches, the Saharan Berbers, the snow-capped High Atlas, and that's just for starters! It is a country whose colours and tastes are intensified by its natural riches and that vaunts an undeniable wealth of cultural, culinary and human assets. This exotic and original destination truly stands apart. You will have a great time discovering the Morocco that best suits you!
what we like about...
- All the varieties of couscous, the many tajine, the unbeatable méchoui, the mouth-watering almond and honey pastries, all washed down with mint tea properly served.
- Wandering about in the leatherworkers' bazaar - a sight and smell experience you simply cannot miss.
- Camp stays wich afford you the chance to see breath-taking landscapes on camelback, and to join in the Bedouin's songs and dances.
- The thousand year old palm grove in Marrakech! This green lung in the city harbours more than 100,000 plams trees on 30 acres - a welcome breath of fresh air!
Don't miss
- Take the Desert Oriental Express, a train that travels through the heart of the Moroccan desert with its stunning Saharan scenery on its 305 km route between Oudja and Bouarfa.
- Hike along the trails of The Rif, still rather unknown to tourists, threading across a dense and moutainous massif along chalk cliffs - all within view of the Mediterranean.
- During the month of May, go up to the northern M'Goun Valley for its Festival of Roses, one of Morocco's most important Moussems, and enjoy the fragrance of thousands of wildflowers - why not pick up some of its famous rosewater while you're at it?
- Go to hammam for a unique cultural and corporal experience. We recommend the one at the Hôtel Lalla Mira, the oldest public bath in Essaouira.
